What Do Bounced, Suppressed Bounce, Global Unsubscribe, and Complained Mean?

Explaining what bounced, suppressed bounce, complained, global unsubscribe, and contact unsubscribed means.

Status tells you if a contact has unsubscribed. There are three distinct ways a contact can unsubscribe from individual campaigns.

Contact Unsubscribed

The contact clicked the unsubscribe link, opting out of any future emails associated with the campaign.

Bounce

The contact's email server rejected the email. This can happen for various reasons, such as the email inbox being full or the message being declined for "sensitive topics."

Suppress Bounce

The email is bouncing because the email address being sent to is undeliverable.

Complained

The contact flagged the email as spam. Once a contact marks an email as spam, they will also be globally unsubscribed (see below) from campaigns moving forward.

Global Unsubscribe

Contacts also have the option of Global Unsubscribe to stop receiving all content. When a contact clicks the "Unsubscribe" link, they can either unsubscribe from the single campaign or all communications going forward.
