When a User Clicks Unsubscribe, They Have a Couple of Options
Here's what a user will see on an email message:
When a user clicks unsubscribe, it first unsubscribes them from that campaign.
It will also open up a page asking them if they would like to unsubscribe from all future campaigns.
If the recipient clicks the "globally unsubscribe" option on any given email, they would automatically be unsubscribed from all campaigns going forward.
What should I do with the contact?
When a user is a content unsubscriber, we want to keep them in the system as they will continue to get the next campaign.
We also recommend keeping "Global Unsubscribes" on the platform as well. You can remove them if you'd like, but there is a risk of adding that contact again. If the contact comes in with another list later, they will be incorporated as a new contact.
