What are Best Practices for Customizing a DIY Email Template?

There Are a Few Things to Keep in Mind When Customizing Your Email

There are a few things to remember when customizing your email to ensure it looks and performs its best!

  • Your logo can be resized. Click your logo to adjust up or down using the toggles.
  • Font color and size can be adjusted. Highlight your desired text, click the Formats button in the toolbar, then Headings, and choose a size from the dropdown.
    • In the toolbar, spacing options are available, as well as the ability to add a numbered or bulleted list.
  • Hyperlinks can be added. Highlight your desired text, click the chainlink icon in the toolbar, input your URL, and click "save."
  • Images can be added. Click anywhere in the message body where you'd like to have the image inserted. Click the Insert Image button in the toolbar and select the image from your files. Want to add an image with a specific height and width? How about adding an alternative description to your image if it fails to load on the recipient's side. This also helps screen-reader tools describe the image to visually impaired individuals. You can do this by clicking the Image Options button.
  • Custom HTML can be used. By clicking the Source Code button. However, if an issue arises due to this code, it's out of our scope of support. This is due to code being in-depth and can conflict with existing code on the backend of our platform.
  • Please keep in mind: This template was specifically designed without images because there are several advanced issues around how to properly size and embed images, so they appear as intended on all devices.

We recommend previewing the email before sending it and testing it on multiple email clients, if possible, to see what the email will look like. The best way to do this is by utilizing the Send Test button.
