Adding the new DMARC DNS record

As of December 2023, Google & Yahoo have announced updates that affect email senders that send more than 5,000 emails per day. For this reason we require that you update your domain accordingly by adding one new DNS record.

The new Record that is required is listed below.

For all clients except LPL

TYPE: TXT

HOSTNAME: _dmarc.snappyk

VALUE: v=DMARC1; p=none;

For Clients On LPL Platform

TYPE: TXT

HOSTNAME: _dmarc.snappykraken

VALUE: v=DMARC1; p=none;

To add this record you will need to go into your domain providers dashboard and find your domain name.

After this you will need to go into your domains DNS Management and add a new record.

When on the DNS page you will need to find a button that says add record.

Copy and paste the information into the correct areas that will be labelled similarly as displayed in the chart.

Once you have copied the information over you can click save.

There are a few videos below showing how to do this for some of the more common domain providers. These videos may be useful to you even if you are not with the domain providers that are displayed.
