Address Your Contacts by Their Nickname from Redtail!
Instead of addressing your Redtail contacts in emails by their first name, you can update this to their nickname!When editing an email, click on Merge Tags in the editor toolbar.
Navigate to Contact Shortcodes and click on Contact Nickname.
This will generate the [CONTACT_NICKNAME] shortcode. You can then replace the [CONTACT_FIRST_NAME] with [CONTACT_NICKNAME].
If you use the nickname shortcode and your contact doesn't have a nickname, it will default to their Redtail first name.
Be mindful of the names you've entered for your Redtail contacts' nicknames. For example, if you have multiple nicknames on a contact of Elizabeth as: Elisa, Beth, Liz, these will all appear on the email. We recommend reviewing your contacts to ensure they only have one nickname.
