Creating a more impactful video will always start with finding the core message.
How do you find it?
Ask yourself this simple question, “What’s the ONE thing I want my audience to take away from this video?”
A rule of thumb, the simpler the idea/message, the better chance your audience will not only connect with it, but will remember it.
The truth is, your audience doesn’t care what you look like or how professional your video looks.
They care about what you can do for them.
Here’s a tip: It’s ok to “trim the fat.”
Self-edit as much as possible as long as it doesn’t detract from your core message.

What’s next?
Well, it’s time to get comfortable with it.
Take the time to outline your message.
Practice it out loud. In the mirror. (But don’t imagine the crowd in their underwear during this practice…)
This will make it easier to deliver it to the camera.
Practice until you know what you want to say, and how you want to say it.
Remember, you want to sound as natural and authentic as possible.
If you deliver your message before taking the time to get familiar with it, it can come off as too rehearsed.
Get comfortable with how you’ll deliver the message.
